The office of the Permanent Secretary for Defence recently constructed a new multi-purpose building for its troops in Nonthaburi, Thailand.
It comprises of a multi-purpose hall that offers full facilities for seminars, presentations and banquets. The six-storey building covering 32,831 square meters also features a fitness space, indoor sports area, squash facilities, and a golf driving range.
Mahajak Development Co., Ltd took responsibility for integrating the audio, visual and stage lighting system at the multi-purpose hall.
The multi-purpose hall has two storeys with a capacity of one thousand five hundred seats. The hall can be combined or separated by partitions, and the audio system is designed to harmonize for a variety of functions.
Shure wireless microphone system comprising handheld transmitters, bodypack transmitters plus lavaliers are available for speech reinforcement. The wireless microphone system works together with antenna distribution to increase efficiency and even coverage across the large hall. Several JBL Control 328CT ceiling loudspeakers driven by Crown CDi1000 amplifiers are installed across the high ceiling of the hall.
The larger hall is complemented with JBL AM7215 loudspeakers in left-right configuration with JBL STX828S subwoofers. The smaller hall features the JBL AM7212 loudspeakers. Stage monitor duties are assigned to JBL PRX speakers with Crown XTi amplifiers driving the loudspeakers. Mixing duties are handled by Soundcraft Si Expression 3 console.
The visual system works on an HDMI backbone to support 4K resolution images by AMX and Extron. This allows for the long LAN cabling system run of up to 10 meters without the loss of video signals. The larger hall features a 350” motorized screen and a 17,000 lumens projector whereas the smaller hall features a 300” motorized screen with image projection provided by an 11,000 lumens projector. Projector lifts help hide the projectors when they are not in use.
Stage lighting features Martin MAC Quantum LED lights that were selected for its energy-saving features as well as releasing of less heat. The lighting fixtures are controlled by Martin M-DMX software.
Enabling easy control of the audio and visual systems in the Halls are a pair of AMX 9.7” wall-mount touch screen with another 4.3” AMX wall-mount touch screen installed in the control room.
