Malaysia’s new City Council building, Majilis Bandaraya Johor Bahru, has been equipped with an array of ETC fixtures professionally installed by A.F.S Engineering.
The Majilis Bandaraya Johor Bahru is a new government building located within the heart of Johor Bahru that is 15 stories tall built on seven additional underground levels. The design of the building was inspired by the same architect firm that designed the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Majilis Bandaraya Johor Bahru received the Green Building Index Recognition as an environmentally friendly building.
Within the Majilis Bandaraya Johor Bahru’s Auditorium and Banquet Hall, A.F.S Engineering professionally installed a variety of ETC fixtures including, Source Four Zoom, ColorSource Linear, and Source Four Fresnels. They also installed SmartPack ThruPower dimmer packs, and are controlling all lighting with an Element 2 console.
The project began August 2016 and was completed early January 2020. Initially, various other brands and products were considered for the installation, however, A.S.F Engineering countered with ETC stating “ETC is far superior and luxurious compared to the others that were proposed.”
Currently, the Majilis Bandaraya Johor Bahru is used as a government office building and hosts frequent meetings and forums.
