The AVnTech4Church Webinar on “The What, Where, When and Why of Video Displays for Churches”, held on 1st June, took a slightly different direction from its previous webinars. Considering the growing interest in implementing visual technologies in Churches, organiser Systems Integration Asia felt it was an opportune time to provide information on the different visual technologies available and their features. Screens, too, were covered as they play an essential role in the projected image quality.
“The use of visual displays in houses of worship will continue to grow, as they provide a means for creative presentation of sermons, filling in blind spots and far sections of the sanctuary with Image Magnification, and then there’s also the growing popularity of confidence monitors. With options such as projectors, video panels and LED video walls, the webinar allowed us to share and compare the various technologies and when you would consider which technology to implement,” said co-presenter Robert Soo, founder and principal consultant, Cogent Acoustics. The other presenter was Steven Yeoh, Technical Director, Hope Church Singapore.
“The webinar attracted a slightly different set of attendees compared to our earlier webinars as the topic was more related to decision making on enhancing worship experience through visual technologies,” said David Lim, director of Industry Engagement, Spinworkz Pte Ltd.
The webinar was exclusively sponsored by Barco, who offered as lucky draw giveaways the opportunity to free online training from Barco on the Principles of LED Walls (Introductory Course). This course is usually reserved for internal staff and partners only. Attendees could also sign up to visit the Barco Experience Centre in Singapore to experience the different visual technologies.
