ZeeVee has introduced a new point-to-point HDMI 2.0 extender kit that supports long-distance transmission of AV signals up to 4K@60Hz with near-zero latency at ISE 2023, booth #5D250.
The HDMI 2.0 extender kit permits transmissions of up to 165 feet (50 meters). Normally, HDMI cables only reach 50 feet before signal deterioration occurs, which can lead to onscreen images pixelating, lagging or dropping out entirely. The new ZeeVee HDMI extender (model HDMIEXT) preserves the signal integrity via Cat6/6A/7 cables that are also more efficient to run through walls and crawl spaces than HDMI cables.
The kit’s transmitter supports HDMI loop-out for confidence monitoring and other purposes. It also features passthrough of IR control signals from the receiver back to the transmitter. IR blaster and receiver cables are included in the box.
“Our new extender provides the simple and reliable extension of HDMI signals with receiver input that is fully compatible with ZyPer4K and ZyPerUHD encoders,” said Art Weeks, director, product management, ZeeVee. “We answered the call of many integrators in the field preferring a one vendor, plug-and-play solution.”
The kit is easily configured by connecting category cables between the extender and source and destination devices, and then applying power. The kit also supports HDCP 2.2 copy protection.
