Madhurai-based collaboration and conferencing solutions major A&T Video Networks recently broke new ground in the domain by launching a feature-rich, innovative, and fully indigenous collaboration device system Astra Pro.
Passionately developed wholly at its research and development (R&D) lab in Madhurai – with the spirit of the ‘Make-in-India’ mission – the new Astra Pro was launched as part of the Video Collaboration Conclave, organized by the company in Bengaluru early this month.
The system was unveiled by the four panellists of the Conclave- Bharat Gera, Founder, Human Centric Healthcare Ecosystem; Edzil Deniz, Director-3CDN Workplace Tech; MB Sam, Revenue Growth Coach, CUSP Services; and Thomas Dal, Dean, Strate School of Design.

“It’s like taking the entire video production studio with oneself.”
The go-to-solution Astra Pro system is essentially targeted at healthcare, education, corporate and live events.

Video: The Forte of A&T Video Networks
Reasoning the development of Astra Pro system, A&T Video Networks Managing Director Ashwin Desai said video conferencing solutions had been the company’s forte since its inception about 25 years ago, bringing to market many ‘first-in-India’ kind VC solutions for a wide spectrum of public and private institutions.
After the company forayed into manufacturing in 2022, being “driven by the passion for the domain”, as also by the make-in-India spirit, the company decided to ride the wave of exponential growth in video content consumption. It therefore, stepped up its R&D initiatives to come up with a game changing solution.
According to him, with the advent of high-tech formats such as 3D, AR, VR and MR video content, the content management has gained immense priority. The capability of accessing and or delivering high quality, immersive video content securely is as important as producing it- which was why they decided to develop a solution that could address this critical need.
“Conferencing and collaboration domain had been forecasted to earn US$ 60 billion revenues globally in 2023,” Ashwin said, “as much as 50 per cent of that revenue would be from hardware.”
According to him, while the content production and streaming domain is expected to touch US$ 40 billion in 2023, the hardware and software services for content management is projected to touch US$ 90 billion, and by 2028, would grow exponentially to touch US$ 120 billion.
“All this makes it imperative for us to have a compelling solution that addresses emerging needs,” Ashwin said. “We’re gearing up in the direction, with our competence.
The gathering at the launch event, that comprised A&T Video Networks’ channel partners, systems integrators, and consultants, was apparently keen to know more about the Astro Pro.
While the Astra Pro hogged the limelight of the evening, A&T Video Networks also demonstrated its range of solutions at the event, and presented their product staple for the coming year as well.
