Barco, a global leader in professional meeting room visualization and collaboration solutions, announced the appointment of Vega Global, a technology provider of digital workplace solutions, as its first tier-one Pan-Asian Gold reseller. This partnership is designed to provide organisations in Asia with the fundamental technology, tools and expertise to implement hybrid workplace solutions to enable employees to connect seamlessly using preferred devices and applications. This not only creates a more intuitive meeting experience both in-person and remotely, but also improves productivity through true workplace collaboration.
Even prior to the pandemic, organisations and even learning institutions have been searching for innovative ways to unlock engagement and collaboration among employees, partners, educators, students and customers while improving user experience. With working from home now being the norm, hybrid work arrangements, where remote and physical participants have to innovate, learn and collaborate digitally, have become a necessity. The need for virtual sessions to be just as productive and effective as physical meetings and classes has become very critical.
“As hybrid meetings become the norm, we are seeing an increasing demand for deploying solutions that enable seamless collaboration between employees in the office and those working remotely. Barco solutions enable organisations to unleash the true value of remote working while providing superior user experience. This (expanding) partnership with Vega Global strengthens our value proposition in delivering hybrid working and hybrid learning solutions to both private and public sector customers,” explained Olivier Croly, Vice President, Barco APAC.
The lack of human interactions during meetings and lessons make it harder for remote participants to engage and collaborate in a meaningful way with those on-premise. As enterprises look to the next normal of the pandemic future, investing in the right technology is critical for collaboration and learning to translate into increased productivity and value. While there will always be a need for face-to-face interactions, organisations can now balance physical and remote sessions. Thanks to Barco’s next generation audio and visual collaboration solutions in meeting, learning and event spaces, virtual participants feel part of the action and engage as much as those physically present. As the first Pan-Asian reseller, Vega Global gets access to the complete portfolio of Barco solutions to serve corporate and education customers with digital workplace and learning technologies across Asia Pacific.
“Companies are rapidly discovering the need to shift to a more balanced approach where employees’ time is split between the office and working remotely from home. Getting the technology right will be crucial for companies looking to navigate the hybrid workplace landscape, balancing a mix of physical and virtual interaction,” said Matthew Deayton, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Vega Global.
To commemorate this partnership a signing ceremony was held on the 14th of October at Barco’s Singapore Experience Centre – a state-of-the-art, technology centre showcasing the latest Barco’s audio visual and collaboration solutions. In line with Singapore’s well-defined social distancing measures and showcasing the hybrid meeting and learning in action, executives from both Barco’s Singapore office and Vega Global’s Hong Kong office connected over Barco’s WeConnect virtual platform to commemorate the partnership.
The collaboration with Vega Global reinforces Barco’s strategy to building value-driven partnerships in the Asia Pacific region. The opportunity to realise a new way of collaborating and working in a hybrid, physical and virtual environment is upon us as organisations seek to improve meeting experiences in response to the new normal.
