Beijing InfoComm China 2023 concluded on 21 July after a successful three-day run at the China National Convention Center (CNCC). The show welcomed 33,842 visitors from over 40 countries and regions who experienced innovations in Professional AudioVisual (Pro-AV) and Transformative Technology. 400 exhibitors – including 61 first-time exhibitors – occupied some 60,000 square meters, spanning all nine halls of CNCC. They showcased their latest innovations, while also highlighting trends and advancements in the industry.
“We received a higher number of visitors compared to previous editions, including enterprise owners, system integrators, and various manufacturers visiting and learning from each other,” said Joseph Zhai, sales director, DigiBird Technology Co., Ltd. “Beijing InfoComm China is a highly anticipated exhibition in the industry, and the participating brands and manufacturers are among the best in the industry. It is a comprehensive exhibition that covers a wide range of products and technologies.”
Some visitors to the show like Mr Ji, general manager of business development, Taiji Computer Corporation Ltd were particularly interested in finding new technologies and solutions for new application scenarios. “During this year’s show, I was pleasantly surprised by the distributed screens from Digibird Technology and the large screens by Unilumin,” Ji enthused. “Additionally, many of the LED screens and control systems exhibited at the show can be applied in many of our projects. We have been attending Beijing InfoComm China for many years, and each time the trade show experience has been very good.” Mr Ji added his company hopes to participate in the Summit next year to exchange new ideas with industry experts.
The show saw notable international companies like Barco, Christie, Digital Projection, Panasonic, Sony, Logitech and others exhibiting alongside homegrown ones like AOTO, BOE, Tencent, Leyard, Dingtalk, Taiden, and Vtron, amongst others. While international brands engaged with their Chinese counterparts and market, local brands engaged with solution-seekers keen to apply their products and solutions in the international space, paving the way for more Chinese brands to receive worldwide exposure.
This effective mix of global and local presence among exhibitors and visitors provided a broader dimension and vibrancy to the annually anticipated show, which has not only helped organisational end-users take big strides towards growth, but also spurred strategic collaborations among innovative industry players, thereby facilitating the advancement of the Pro-AV and Technology industry.
Many visitors and exhibitors alike were impressed by Beijing InfoComm’s professionalism and praised the show’s many useful resources which afforded them opportunities to find much-needed solutions and form new lucrative partnerships, besides learning about new products and gaining a deeper understanding of the industry.
“Our company mainly produces network equipment, and we found suitable AVS, distributed architecture, command and control systems, and other solutions at the show,” declared Mr Wang, deputy general manager of Business Unit, Ruijie Networks Co., Ltd, a first-time visitor.
“The quality of buyers was good. In addition to system integrators, we had the opportunity to connect with some hotel management groups,” said Liu Tao, general manager, ACE Beijing North Ace Digital Technology Co., Ltd.
“Over the past few days, we have received customers interested in our control console applications, and we had detailed discussions with them,” offered Shao Peng, Sales Manager, Beijing FAMETAL Innovational Equipment Co., Ltd.
NIXTechcase, the newest segment at Beijing InfoComm China, gave visitors a sneak peek into the future of AV tech. Through simulation, six new and innovative start-ups jointly presented their next-generation AV tech solutions for various sectors such as enterprise, education, healthcare, entertainment and retail. It was a window to the new reality that is sweeping the world – one where the diverse realms of VR, AR, virtual spaces, digital collections and digital twins integrate, breaking the barrier between the physical and virtual worlds. This showcase also emphasised China’s strong technology development, production and implementation.
The Summit, the main highlight of the show, offered three days of in-depth insights into Pro-AV and Transformative Technology in action across different industries, stimulating minds and sparking ideas for improving organisational practices and strategies. Dedicated tracks at the Summit included the NIXT China Summit, industry forums, a networking function for AV leaders, technical seminars and the Techtalk forum
Explaining the show’s impact Richard Tan, executive director of InfoCommAsia, declared, “We live in a world of interconnected people, communities, cities, countries, industries and markets. Beijing InfoComm China demonstrates this inter-connectivity as each edition serves as a building block for the next one, providing the catalyst for ideas and future great inventions to showcase at the next edition.”
Beijing InfoComm China 2023 solidified the show’s reputation as Asia’s premier Pro-AV and Transformative Technology event, and is all set to put on the next edition, slated for 17 – 19 April 2024 at the China National Convention Center.
