The theme for International Women’s Day, Accelerate Action, resonated clearly through engaging events offering networking, learning, and inspiration- as over 250 women professionals from across the region took part in a variety of events across the region.
With the industry fraternity expressing its strong solidarity with the occasion, the AWC initiative turned doubly reassuring even as it sought to map the increasing role of women in the AV industry.

The celebrations in India were supported by Q-SYS India in Bengaluru; Sennheiser India in New Delhi and Mumbai; Office 2000, and Logitech India in Chennai; and Transcon Solutions in Kolkata.
These companies warmly opened their doors, creating a welcoming space for the participants to attend and celebrate the day with their peers and colleagues. The event captivated participants with dynamic programmes across all the locations.
Participants enjoyed a diverse agenda, which included engaging activities like interactive games, mind reading, motivational talks by psychologists on self-care and work-life balance and meditation sessions.
The events culminated in a dynamic networking session at each of these locations. Building on the success of last year’s celebrations, the momentum was harnessed to drive even greater change and impact.
Notably, all five venues were briefly interconnected via a virtual meeting, fostering a cohesive and spirited celebration that underscored the importance of supporting women in their personal and professional endeavours.

In Dubai, the AWC marked the occasion with a remarkable gathering hosted by NMK Electronics Trading LLC. The event was supported by Microsoft, Shure EMEA, Bose Professional, and Clickshare by Barco.
With over 65 AV and Tech professionals participating with great enthusiasm, the celebrations were complete with meaningful conversations, leadership insights, and real connections. From mindfulness sessions to discussions on emotional intelligence and career growth, the focus was clear – bringing together the women in AV while increasing participation and supporting professional growth.
In Singapore, the celebrations saw the dynamic group connecting over their shared passion for audio-visual technology and exploring strategies to enhance council participation within the region.
The AVIXA Women’s Council’s events across India, Dubai and Singapore ended with a resounding success and a testament to the strength and resilience of women in the AV industry, inspiring renewed confidence and solidarity among all participants.
