Electronics and Engineering Pte Ltd (E&E) celebrates a momentous 2021 as it reaches its 70th-year milestone. Ever since it was established in 1951, E&E has played a major role in the Professional Audio-Visual Industry in Singapore with their involvement in iconic national projects such as the National Theatre in 1963, National Stadium in 1973, Esplanade, Theatres by the Bay in 2002, Victoria Theatre & Concert Hall and Singapore Sports Hub in 2014, Changi Airport Terminal 4 in 2017 and most recently, The Bicentennial Experience in 2019.
E&E was founded by the late Goh Kiok Chuan in 1951 and his eldest son Ronald Goh was roped into the family business while pursuing his tertiary education in the early 1960s, working closely with his father increasing their market dominance in the professional audio arena both locally and regionally. E&E is still driven by that same entrepreneurial spirit of their founder Mr Goh and guided by their values of hard work, diligence and perseverance.
In 2003, Gary Goh too followed in the footsteps of his father Ronald Goh and joined the company as a Project Engineer and then serving in various positions throughout the years before stepping into a Senior Management position in 2011. Over the 10 years that he has served as Deputy Managing Director, he has continued to strengthen the focus on E&E’s commitment to their customers and has constantly pushed new boundaries by expanding their portfolio with product innovation and engineering.
As the company moves into its next phase of growth, it has announced that Ronald Goh will assume the role of Chairman of the E&E Group of Companies, with Gary Goh assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer together with Joe Fong as Chief Operations Officer and Cynthia Nah as Chief Finance Officer.
Commenting on the new appointments, Chairman, Ronald Goh said, “This transition in leadership has been years in the making with both Gary and Joe having been appointed Deputy Managing Directors in 2011. Their leadership has been instrumental in both evolving and driving E&E’s growth strategy over the last decade; and with both of them at the helm, I am confident that their combined experience and dedication to the company will help carry E&E into the future and secure its continued success in the years to come.”
“We are also truly fortunate to have a talented team at E&E who have been instrumental in our success over the years, with more than a quarter of our staff having been with us for over 10 years,” continued Ronald Goh.
“Having grown from a family business to what we are today, E&E has now become one of the very few AV companies that has been around for 70 years globally. It is our passion that has driven us to where we are today, and this same passion will propel us to the vision we have set. We are excited about this celebration while taking on a new mission to bring E&E to 80, 90 and 100 years,” said Joe Fong, COO.
Newly appointed CEO, Gary Goh shared, “I am honoured to take on this new leadership role. We are in unprecedented times as we celebrate this momentous milestone. The pandemic has had a big impact on our industry, but our team has stayed dedicated and resilient with the determination that we will emerge stronger than ever before. E&E is built on the values that have shaped us for the past 70 years, and it is these values that will continue to guide us for the years to come.”
“We are thankful to our clients, partners and last but not least, our team for being on this amazing journey with us as we set out on our next lap of the E&E legacy,” continued Gary Goh.
