Indian AV continues to ride the post-pandemic rejuvenation. One of the most energizing manifestations of this journey into the future has been the recent InfoComm India 2022 event which scaled up the spirits with the long-desired brand ‘Made-in-India’ emergence. Upping the ante further with all the nerve and verve was the Erthpot.
SIA brings a snappy account of the newest AV promise called Erthpot.
…………………………………………………….
‘Formulated’ by a team of engineers from the Noida-based pro audio distribution major Pink Noise Professionals, Erthpot is, perhaps, one of the most passionately, if not symbolically, named Indian AV manufacturing start-up.
Made to the industry’s reckoning from the show floor of recent InfoComm India event, the brand Erthpot’s vision is to ‘create a brand that emits sustainability and values it in every breath.’
Its mission is to make sustainable and future-ready products for all professional audio-visual applications.
According to the brand promoters, Erthpot was envisioned and developed by ‘uplifting the ethos of Make In India’ – one of the most ambitious initiatives of Modi Government – aimed at encouraging indigenous manufacturing and reducing imports of finished goods. The company does source components and other accessory raw material from different places, and assembles their entire product portfolio at their Noida office.
Vijay Sinha, Director of sales and marketing at Pink Noise Professionals, and one of the Founding Members of Erthpot, shares his insight on the initiative: “the Indian AV market has been dominated by foreign brands for a long time now, and yes there’s no doubt that entrepreneurship has been difficult with a plethora of challenges from multiple fronts.
We have been promoting and servicing some of the world’s most renowned audio brands either through distribution or OEM representation etc. So, in terms of when it relates to manufacturing in India, we are aware and intuitive about the nuances of the industry as a whole, he elaborates the parameters that had been governing the dynamics of the industry.
We, however, always believed that Indian technology professionals are smart enough to understand and develop products for the AV industry,” Vijay asserts. “That is why when we decided to establish Erthpot, we resolved not limit ourselves to just entrepreneurship but aim higher in setting our sights on revolutionary innovation and sustainability. And through our products and solutions, we are confident that we will attain our goals while etching our mark on the AV industry world-wide.”
Erthpot formally launched as a brand at the Infocomm India 2022 in Mumbai. Beckoning the industry from the booth of its origin space Pink Noise Professionals the brand showcased its very first product called the Keyer 0808D. The Keyer 0808D is an 8-channel audio DSP unit meant for conferencing applications. It comes as a package along with its wall mount controller accessory. The promoters affirm that the Keyer series will soon have more variants with higher and lower channel counts. They are currently under beta testing, and would be out to the market in the coming few months.
Alongside the Keyer series, Erthpot also plans to release the NOVO Conference System, which is a wired chairman-delegate based discussion system. The product is apparently in the final testing phase and Erthport leadership hopes to roll out the device system before the year end (2022).
“As the electronics manufacturing base in India holds a huge promise to strengthen in the coming months, we too would want to expand our portfolio with more technology-intensive products,” asserts Vijay.
The Erthpot director sounds higher ambitions when he says he wouldn’t want to stay just domestic, and wants to go international, if not global.
“We are strongly believe that our brand can go global with right approach,” he exudes confidence. “Once we are able to establish Erthpots as a brand that users can trust and adopt without any apprehensions, we will expand our footprint to the Middle East, Africa, SAARC, and other Asian geographies, then go beyond.”
