The SI Asia Knowledge and Networking Event, held on 27 June in Jakarta, was a vibrant gathering. Split into two engaging sessions, the event started with an afternoon of insightful presentations from industry leaders, followed by an evening dedicated to networking and forging new connections. With delegates representing 41 organisations, the event saw a diverse mix of system integrators, distributors, and AV consultants. The lineup of speakers was nothing short of stellar, each bringing unique perspectives and innovations to the forefront.
Andy Tan of JetBuilt kicked things off, showcasing how AV companies can streamline their operations using JetBuilt’s AV Cloud Platform. He captivated the audience by highlighting how the platform can significantly reduce the time needed to prepare proposals, among its many other features. Next, Dhevant Sadam Tamtelahitu of Absen delved into the future of ProAV technologies and products, highlighting impressive Absen installations across Indonesia.
Dimas Arioputra and Sylvia Chen from ATEN took the stage to address the challenges of integrating multiple ProAV devices. They presented ATEN’s solutions and stressed their dedicated office in Jakarta to support the industry’s needs. Lightware’s Candice Siow and Tiong Leng then illuminated the potential of USB-C in AV, presenting a range of solutions designed to maximise its capabilities.
Barco’s Benjamin Phua brought electrifying energy to the room with captivating videos of Barco projector projects, striking a chord with his talk “Expanding Experiences—Expanding Opportunities.” Finally, Johnson Mutaya and Hilmi Zainal from Artificial Intelligence Technology Solutions wrapped up the presentations with a compelling introduction to their Chope.AI platform, showcasing intelligent building and office space management and advanced security solutions.
The evening’s networking session was a highlight. Attendees and partners rekindled old relationships, forged exciting new connections, and explored fresh business opportunities. The enthusiasm was palpable; many expressed keen interest in attending future events.
Rudi Hidayat, CEO of V2 Indonesia, liked the presentations because they were bite-size and contained relevant information. He suggested that a software-based solutions company might be present next time. Regardless, Rudi highlighted that some of the presentations caught his attention and hoped to extend the conversation with the relevant brands.
Brian Ikhsan, Sales Director SEA of Global Vision Multimedia, also appreciated the timing of the whole event. He suggested that more real-implementation AI projects could be presented the next time.
Edwin from Acoustic and Lighting appreciated the format of the event. He also felt the timing was great as it avoided Jakarta’s peak time. “I definitely got value from attending this event,” said Edwin.
Andy Laode, Technical Manager of HIKA, was delighted that he made it to the event. “This event was valuable to me. I also rebuilt relationships as I had lost touch with some.”
Melvin Halpito, Managing Director of MLV Teknologi, felt the overall event was positive. It provided an opportunity to learn about the partners and their solutions and to network with the industry, which he felt was very useful.
Nadia Tsabitah, Director of PTS Consulting Indonesia, was also pleased with the format, timing and networking opportunity. Nadia added that, hopefully, in the future, we can bring presentations related to cybersecurity as well.
SI Asia is already planning similar events in Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines, promising more opportunities to connect, learn, and grow.
