Meetings can be expected to run smoother at the Bank of Thailand after its main conference room 155, located on the 5th floor of the building, received a digital facelift with a new state-of-the-art AV control system from HARMAN Professional in partnership with Mahajak Development Co. Ltd.
Launched in December 1942, the Bank of Thailand supervises and examines financial institutions, manages the country’s foreign exchange rate under the foreign exchange system, and governs assets in the currency reserve.
“The client was looking to revamp the old audio and visual set-up in the meeting room with a more seamless and integrated system that would make meetings more productive. Previously, they had to manually turn each individual device on and off, which was time-consuming,” shared Pongsakorn Kanchanachayphoom, director of Professional Product & Solution at Mahajak Development Co. Ltd. “With the new HARMAN system, all functionality is accessible through an iPad where, at just a push of a button, users can now control all devices in the room simultaneously and select their desired display options with ease. In addition, there is a new auto-tracking camera system for video conferencing.”
The system consists of different types of speakers to ensure surround sound and maximum clarity. The JBL CBT 100LA-1 column speakers direct audio to the conference table for improved speech intelligibility, which is important during video conferencing. The JBL Control 14C/T coaxial ceiling loudspeakers over the table evenly distribute audio throughout the room, creating a more natural and realistic sound environment. Apart from ensuring that everyone can hear the audio clearly regardless of wherever they are seated, the even distribution of sound also reduces listening fatigue which is important for long-duration meetings.
All JBL loudspeakers are driven by Crown amplifiers, the CDI2/300 and XLS1502, with ultra-efficient patented DriveCore technology and streamlined functionality to ensure a powerful and pure sound experience.
Lastly the ‘brains’ of the system, facilitating intelligent touch control of the meeting room’s functionality, is the AMX NX-2200 controller supplemented with external control boxes EXB-IO8 and an iPad that serves as a wireless user interface.
“A good AV system is the backbone of our conference room as productivity and efficiency are paramount for all our meetings,” said a spokesperson for the Bank of Thailand. The state-of-the-art HARMAN Professional products that Mahajak chose for our meeting room have exceeded all our expectations, and we look forward to more upgrades in the future.”
“A high performing financial institution such as the Bank of Thailand requires a top of the range AV system to ensure meetings with stakeholders and partners are productive and efficient” said Amar Subash, VP & GM, HARMAN Professional Solutions, APAC. “We would like to thank our partner Mahajak Development Co. Ltd. for implementing HARMAN’s Install products to achieve high-functioning corporate environments”.
