Coming as is it did under the guidance, vision, and philosophy of its new global management, Kramer India in late April has set in motion the new K-wAVe programme, replacing the erstwhile Synapse.
Connecting with the industry with the punchline of ‘get ahead of the wAVe,’ the AV gear major is seeking to spread the new AV dynamism across the country.
SIA brings some snappy account….

Yes, that’s the new punchline or catchphrase Kramer Electronics is engaging the industry with. In perfect sync with the company’s global philosophy, Kramer India has rolled out its trusted, annual industry engagement programme- under the new K-wAVe bandwagon.
Replacing the hitherto implemented programme of Synapse, the K-wAVe is a renewed industry-connect initiative bringing all that the new Kramer has come to characterize, post its process of transformation from the erstwhile format of pre-COVID times.
Likened with the waves that surfers tend to engage with on a joyride, the K-wAVe is about engaging and equipping the industry professionals to observe, understand, and catch the right wave of technology in the AV domain, and get ahead of the wave even while staying abreast with its dynamism.
Simply said, K-wAVe is a Kramer-branded event platform focused on AV technology translating into a multi-city road show to bring the latest and greatest wave of technology to markets while solidifying the business relationship with new and existing channel partners.
The philosophy behind this K-wAVe is getting ahead of the AV and IT solutions wave doing research on different technologies available on the market, then review what Kramer has to offer, and prepare to catch right the wave by identifying gaps in one’s existing technology stack.
Ride the Wave to Revenue: It goes further to emphasize that each new technology one adds to the existing stack should bring a real added value towards building comprehensive data story. In order to maintain that momentum and continue benefiting from it, one needs to constantly ride the technology wave, and make suitable adjustments to stay ahead. Careful watch, analysis, and adoption of technology results in increased revenues- which may be the purpose of any business.
The participants for this initiative will comprise SI Partners, Consultants, and End-Customers.
Having begun in late April, the K-wAVe 2023 is scheduled to flow through May on its six-city journey, connecting Mumbai on 10 May, followed by Pune on 12, Chennai on 16, Delhi on 18 May, before proceeding to Ahmedabad on May 23.
Kirti Shetti, Managing Director, Kramer India, addressing the Kramer AV fraternity at the inaugural K-wAVe in Bengaluru, explained the ideation, vision, and mission of the programme. Outlining how rapidly and massively the ProAV market had been growing (global ProAV market is estimated to touch US$351 by 2027; it was at US$263 billion in 2022), she explained the major trends AV industry had been negotiating; how Kramer is planning to position itself, and what it intends to bring to industry towards driving more revenue-oriented business.
With the ‘hybrid BigBang’ redefining the way ProAV industry does business there is a paradigm shift shaping up the industry dynamism.
According to her, the five global trends defining the industry are:
- AV & IT Convergence – industry is tending to set IT standards rather than AV standards
- Value shift from Hardware to Software – Adoption of Virtual/Cloud environment replacing hardware-driven market
- Advent of Software Gorillas – Zoom, Google Meet, and MS Teams
- IT-oriented AV landscape – creating/augmenting Hybrid experiences, &
- Transition from products to experiences
The notion of ‘AV business is no longer selling products; it’s about selling solutions is again in for a replacement. It’s not about selling solutions now; it’s about selling experiences.
With that taking the centrestage of business philosophy, Kramer intends to engage the industry to catch the wave, ride, and stay ahead of it.
So, catch the wAVe, and find the right tech riding to stay at its high.
