Nataraju Upputuri – a familiar name in Indian Pro AV ranks – is on a new entrepreneurial journey. He set up his own company Nteck Systems with a view to better positioning and pursuing his professional interests in Indian Pro AV domain.
A fully-owned firm by Nataraju, coming into operations from Jan 2021, Ntech Systems is focused on bringing in some key solutions from Unified Communications domain, and other allied applications to help AV designers and Systems Integrators build more powerful and robust AV architectures.
This development is significant in that it took shape in the aftermath of AV Dynamics India Pvt. Ltd. – which was headed by Nataraju – having a change of guard, with Mindstec Distribution taking over the Company, along with its major brand Aurora Multimedia and service support responsibilities.
Nataraju had been Director of India Operations at Aurora Multimedia for almost four years, investing his skills and time to create strong business cases for the American IP-based control automation solutions major.
He was heading AV Dynamics as Director dealing with distribution of some key AV brands like Aurora Multimedia, UK-based lighting control solutions leader iLIGHT, and another British digital signage solutions major ONELAN.
“I felt it’s time I moved on, for all apparent reasons,” Nataraju said. “I had successfully created the brand awareness and certain critical business cases for Aurora Multimedia in India” he added.
To begin with the new journey, Nteck Systems has already signed on three key AV OEMs- Canadian USB accessories major INOGENI; Korean long distance HDMI and USB solutions leader Opticis; and Belgian Streaming solutions major CrowdBeamer.
“Unified Communications is one major domain, gaining larger grounds every day; we wanted to focus on this growing market to begin with,” Nataraju added. “However, we are focusing on other areas of Commercial AV applications as well. We are already in an advanced stage of discussions with a few overseas and Indian OEMs,” he said. “We will soon have those brands with us.”
“We hope we are passé COVID-19 challenges, and will have better times as we move through 2021,” he observed.
With over 21 years of varied experience in Professional AV industry, Nataraju made a name of his own in India and abroad. Prior to his four-year stint at Aurora Multimedia, Nataraju lead Crestron India as its Head of national operations, evolving through key echelons within the company. Earlier to Crestron, he built his career through notable technical roles at Plus Business and Visionaire.
