After operating via third party functionaries for a few years, Taiwanese projector and display solutions provider Optoma recently set up its official subsidiary in India. The move – significant in itself for various reasons – demonstrates Optoma’s commitment and long-term focus on Indian Market. Establishing subsidiary in India is a strategic response to the growing demand in the Asia-Pacific market.
This strategic move will support Optoma to intensify sales and service network in India. Also, it will help to forge new alliances and partnerships for government business and make in India program. Seeing the potential that lies in the Indian market, Optoma aims to grow its market share in the home entertainment, education, and Pro AV segments where they have inherent strength worldwide. In Future the company would also like to explore furthering its capabilities in manufacturing sector in India for world markets.

According to him, all the workforce that had been working via the third party entity till now for Optoma operations in the country has now been taken on the company’s payrolls, and relevant roles and departments have been designated.
There were about 30 employees working for the Taiwanese major for the last few years. All these people work from the company’s India headquarters in New Delhi.
For any corporate entity in the country, there are four essential divisions and profiles required. Sales and marketing, Finance, Operations and After-Sales support. All these four essential segments have been addressd, and Optoma is fully geared up to further its vision and mission in the country.
