Systems Integration India Awards (SIIA) – one of the biggest and preferred excitements of Indian audio-visual industry – will be organized on 3rd of September this year at the Sofitel BKC in Mumbai.
Into its sixth edition this year, the event promises to relive all that it is known for- projects, performances, people and pride of Indian AV. Having begun in 2016 with a biannual programme, but transformed into annual fare in 2019, the event has grown from strength to strength and raised the stakes to commendable, if not, enviable scale.
Addressing three market ranges of low, mid, and high budget from across five categories of Government, Corporate, Education, Infotainment and Hospitality, SII Awards took the whole big spectrum of Indian AV rallying behind it from the very inception.
Building on the strengths, and recognising the expectations of the industry, the initiative introduced last year not only one new category of Projection Mapping but also three individual awards for AV Professional of the Year; Young AV Professional of the Year; and Female Professional of the Year.
The newly introduced Awards significantly raised the stakes of the event and seemingly contributed to a very positive sentiment, as it brought to the limelight the hitherto missing element- individual brilliance that singly stands out even as their contribution elevates their company stakes.
For a sheer recap of last year’s People’s Awards were conferred upon:
- AV Professional of the Year – Ratnesh Javeri (posthumously)
- Woman AV Professional of the Year – Mahua Mukhopadhyay
- Young AV Professional of the Year – Mohan Hamal
NEW PARTNER – DELTA ELECTRONICS
The 2024 edition has a new Category Partner for Infotainment in the form of Delta Electronics India (Display Division). The Gurgaon-based Indian arm of Taiwanese electronics major Delta had been a very proactive player towards contributing to the industry cause. Having been a keen observer of SIIA’s objective and operational methodology, the display solutions major came forward to join forces.
“Awards are both reward and rejuvenator for any creative activity; in Professional audio-visual domain which is all about creating and enhancing experiences of technology, they contribute to a positive competition among stakeholders to elevate the technology experiences every time,” said Hemant Aggarwal, Business Head, Display Solutions Business Unit, Delta India.
“We’ve been hearing about Systems Integration India Awards for a few years now; it’s been our reckoning that they have created a compelling buzz in the Indian ProAV domain,” Hemant said. “Being the leader here, we thought it’s time we put our imprint with the initiative and contribute to the genuine growth of the industry in a way that befits our philosophy and positioning.”
That the SIIA platform promises to honour the best creative AV design and integration work in India, we see the entire ecosystem of ProAV getting honoured, he said. For, it includes the whole value chain of the industry sharing and celebrating the laurels. We wish the SIIA scale up further and further as they negotiate the future industry domain.
