New Delhi-based leading audio distributor, and Shure Incorporated’s Master Distributor for India Sun Infonet recently launched in Indian market the Microflex MXA Series’ latest version- the MXA902 Integrated Conferencing Ceiling Array, hailed to be the world’s first conferencing ceiling array microphone with integrated loudspeaker and IntelliMix DSP for small and medium-size meeting rooms.
The audio major embarked upon a country-wide roadshow programme, beginning with Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, to be followed by Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata.
The first of the programme series held in Bengaluru recently had Shure’s newly appointed Senior Business Manager-South Asia Ravi Kant Sharma introducing the ‘revolutionary system’ to the spectrum of the audiences that comprised Sun Infonet’s partners in South India, systems integrators, and consultants.
The features and benefits of the system was then explained in detail by Shure India’s market development manager Devraj Panicker.
Actually launched for the global markets from the platform of ISE 2023 in Barcelona in February this year, the MXA 902 is hailed to be the industry’s first integrated ceiling array microphone and loudspeaker system. Aimed at AV conferencing environments in small and medium meeting and learning spaces, the system includes an advanced array microphone and a wide-dispersion loudspeaker for natural sounding speech capture and reproduction.
The unit’s Single Zone Automatic Coverage Technology captures audio from a 20 by 20 feet (which is 6 by 6 meters) area while the onboard IntelliMix DSP delivers echo and noise-free audio.
“The MXA902 is a complete ceiling-mounted audio solution for AV conferencing, ideal for small and medium meeting environments, capable of premium audio capture and delivering reproduction with minimal setup required,” explains Sun Infonet’s Director Neeraj Chandra. “With a state-of-the-art array microphone for enhanced directional voice capture, and an integrated wide-dispersion loudspeaker for natural sounding far-end speech, it is an ultimate blend of superior sound quality and streamlined deployment,” he elaborated. “With the microphone, loudspeaker, and DSP all in one device, the MXA902 helps improve the overall room design, creating a sleek and elegant meeting room without extension mics and extra wires – a win-win for installation professionals, and the end users.”
According to him, the MXA902 is significantly cheaper than Shure’s flagship product MXA920, coming approximately 12 per cent cheaper price, which should be a big taker for the industry, besides the integrated features.
Certified for Microsoft Teams and Zoom Rooms
The MXA902 is officially Certified for Microsoft Teams and Zoom Rooms when paired with the USB Audio Network Interface with Matrix Mixing (ANIUSB-MATRIX). Both have undergone rigorous and comprehensive tests in lab and real-life environments.
Superior Audio Quality and Control
The Single Zone Automatic Coverage Technology feature, combined with a wide-dispersion 2.5” high-quality loudspeaker, delivers excellent sound capture and listening from one device. Equipped with IntelliMix DSP, the MXA902 leverages automatic gain control, acoustic echo cancellation, noise reduction and automatic mixing to deliver clear, crisp sound for all in-room and remote meeting participants.
Easy Integration and Modern Design
The MXA902 was built for IT managers and AV professionals of all experience levels, making it ideal for anyone looking for an installation-friendly Microflex Ecosystem solution for small to medium collaboration spaces. The MXA902 is further compatible with MXA900 series accessory kits, delivering a simplified mounting system that works with a variety of ceiling types, including in-ceiling, on-ceiling, pole, or wire rope. A sleek, white (and paintable) industrial design fits most architectural needs of today’s meeting rooms, so installers don’t have to worry about making additional cosmetic changes.
“The MXA902 is first-of-its-kind solution on market, and has the potential to usher in a new dynamic,” asserts Neeraj. “The newly emerged hybrid meeting environments and small and medium segment meeting spaces never had this kind of integrated solution, at cost-effective price points,” he said. “It can be a new game changer.”
